The Etude is an independent practice based in Port Louis. It belongs to no group and to no network. That is not a slogan but an accepted constraint: the scope stays narrow, the number of matters stays limited, and an opinion given here answers to nothing but the matter itself.

The training is continental, completed by daily practice with the Mauritian financial statutes, which are drafted in English and English in inspiration. That double register is the condition of serious practice in Mauritius, where the Civil Code and the Companies Act live inside the same file, and often inside the same clause.

The work is done for entrepreneurs, international family offices, boards and private clients. The request is almost always the same: a clear reading of the situation, a firm position where the situation admits of one, and a careful reservation where it does not. An opinion drafted to please everyone serves no one.

Discretion is not a selling point. It is the condition in which matters of this kind are handled. No client name, no result and no matter appears anywhere on this site, and none will.
